The beautiful Dolpo region is located between the Dhaulagiri ranges and the Tibetan highland and. The trekking in Upper Dolpo region will also present an opportunity to go over a few elevated Himalayan passes and get pleasure from the vast and serene splendor of Phoksundo Lake. Plus, we will explore around several monasteries including Shey Gompa which belongs to Padmasambhava and Kagyu sects. Shey is well-known for its antique Buddhist culture. Shey actually means crystal whereas gompa means a monastery.

We will fly to Nepalgunj lying in western part of Nepal and then take a 45 minutes flight to Juphal. The town is wonderfully situated above the Himalayan foothills. We keep on walking to get to Dunai. Also you will stroll on a rising and falling track and then walk through the fields of potatoes, sweet corn, millet, pumpkin, and chilies. Likewise, we will walk around the huge Phoksundo Lake. At the Phoksundo Lake, we can take pleasure from the serene beauty of the lake while walking around shores. Walking ahead from Phoksundo Bhanjyang, we will make way up to the apex that takes you to pass the Kang La Pass (5, 151 m). Similalry, we will visit Shey Gompa which belongs to Padmasambhava and Kagyu sects. Moreover, we will traverse to the apex of the Saldang La Pass lying at an altitude of 4, 785m which gives you pleasure from the vistas of Mustang and the far-off snowy mountains of Tibet. Trekking to the foot of the Jeng La and reaching at the top of the Jeng La Pass that rewards you with the huge Dhaulagiri is another fascinating part of the trek.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. One of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will welcome you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the first- class traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, after having your breakfast, you will depart for going around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu
We will fly to Nepalgunj which takes an hour. Nepalgunj lying in western part of Nepal is set near the Nepal-India border. It is an attractive Terai town where you can visit the local market, nearby villages etc. Overnight in Nepalgunj.

Day 04: Fly to Jhupal (Dolpo) (2,320m) and trek to Dunai (2,850m) around 3 hours trek
We will take a 45 minutes flight to Juphal. The town is wonderfully situated above the Himalayan foothills. You will catch the awesome sight of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains lying to its north. From here, we will walk all the way through terraced farms to the Bheri River. We keep on walking to get to Dunai where we will stay overnight.

Day 05: Trek to Ankhe (2, 660 m) around 6 hours trek
We will trek to traverse a suspension bridge and reach at the union point of the Suli Gad River and Thuri Bheri River. You also stroll on a rising and falling track and then walk through the fields of potatoes, sweet corn, millet, pumpkin, and chilies. We will pass via Hanke, Rahagaon, Parela, and Ankhe. Overnight in Ankhe.

Day 06: Trek to Renjo (3,104 m) around 7 hours trek
We will also traverse the river via bridges, and after that you go up to a narrow trail. While climbing the panorama of the beautiful landscapes will allure you. Overnight in Renjo.

Day 07: Trek to Phoksundo Lake (3, 600 m) around 7 hours trek
This is one of the significant days of the trek as we will walk around the huge Phoksundo Lake. On the way, we will notice yak caravans. Also, we will explore around close by monastery. At the Phoksundo Lake, we can take pleasure from the serene beauty of the lake while walking around shores. Overnight at Phoksundo.

Day 08: Trek to Phoksundo Khola (3, 507 m) around 7 hours trek
We will get to the periphery of the lake. This unsteady path is on the edge on a passage of forest. You will also walk on a vertical track to 4,040 m and after that get into the valley. We will also next to the river and then to the Phoksundo River. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 09: Trek to Phoksundo Bhanjyang (4, 402 m) around 7 hours trek
On this day, we will traverse a stream walking ahead from Phoksundo River and also pass through a glacial valley, and then head off to north. Moving ahead, out path becomes narrower then the striking vertical rock faces and knobby rock formations can be noticed. Also, we will climb will bring you to a sheep pasture where the track go around a vertical ravine. A difficult way up to the apex takes you to pass the Kang La Pass. The Pass leads to Shey Gompa. Overnight at Phoksundo Bhanjyang.

Day 10: Trek to Shey Gompa (4,126 m) crossing the Kang La Pass (5, 151 m) around 7 ours trek
We will also pass through unfastened slate screed. We will reach to the Kang La Pass lying at an elevation of 5151m taking around 3 hours. From the top of the pass, we will see a splendid sight and then move down to the valley base. We will also see a red chorten prior to reaching at Shey Gompa. Overnight at Shey Gompa.

Day 11: Rest day at Shey Gompa
We will on this day rest at Shey Gompa which belongs to Padmasambhava and Kagyu sects. Shey is well-known for its antique Buddhist culture. Shey actually means crystal whereas gompa means a monastery. The priests of Shey also live in a red hermitage referred as Tsakang Gompa. Shey Gompa lies at the meeting point of Yeju Nala River and Kangjunala River. Overnight at Shey Gompa.

Day 12: Trek to Namduna Gaun (4,400 m) via the Saldang La Pass (4, 785 m) around 7 hours trek
We will move ahead from Shey Gompa on an easy trail and then moves all the way through juniper trees. We will traverse to the apex of the Saldang La Pass lying at an altitude of 4, 785m. From the track, you get pleasure from the vistas of Mustang and the far-off snowy mountains of Tibet. We will move to the north is long and demanding and passes all the way through grazing land and by nomadic tents. We will move to Namduna Gaun. Overnight in Namduma Gaon.

Day 13: Trek to Saldang (3, 903 m) around 7 hours trek
On this day, we will pass by Saldang monastery and traverse through dusty desolate mountains. After that, you climb to the striking Saldang settlement situated on a raised ground, high over the Nam Khong River). Saldang actually is thriving, and it lies on a business way to Tibet. Overnight in Saldang.

Day 14: Trek to Sibu (3, 942 m) around 6 hours trek
On this day, we will through terraced farms and by the Chortens, Stupas, loads of Mani stones, and visit Chaiba monastery. We will then pass by Namdo, the next settlement is also well-off. Also, we will visit Namdo monastery set near the riverbed. We will then trek to Sibu. Overnight in Sibu.

Day 15: Trek to foot of the Jeng La (4,369 m) around 7 hours trek
We will on this day follow the river valley, you will then walk on an easy trail. After approximately two hours, you will traverse another river before moving into a side valley. The track passes through a pleasing meadow, which is enclosed with rocks to reach to the foot of the Jeng La. Overnight at the tented camp.

Day 16: Trek to Tokyu Gaun (4,240 m) via Jeng La Pass around 7 hours trek
We will on this day trek from Jeng La foot to the top of the Jeng La Pass through an easy trail. The huge Dhaulagiri greets us at the top of the pass Dhaulagiri. We will then move down to the Tarap valley passing an enjoyable track that moves down to Tarap Chu. Overnight in Tarap Chu.

Day 17: Trek to Dho Tarap (4,090 m) around 5 hours trek
We will traverse a narrow gorge and move away the tree line at the back of us and get to see wild rose as well as juniper bushes. Also, we will get to Dho Tarap village surrounded by an uneven stone wall. Tarap is occupied by a small number of Tibetans and regularly Magars. We can go around close by monasteries. Also, you will get the chance to see local culture and notice inhabitants wearing homespun outfits. People here out on sacred amulets as well as strings of coral, turquoise and other stones. Overnight in Do Tarap.

Day 18: Trek to Serkam (3, 630 m) around 5 hours trek
We will follow Tarap River that moves downhill and then trek all the way through narrow gorges. Here we will notice a river, marmots, yaks, blue sheep, white sheep, etc. Also, we will pass on a rising and falling path and see one of the modern suspension bridges made up of steel. Likewise, we will have to walk on a narrow trail. Overnight in Serkam after setting a camp.

Day 19: Trek to Khani Gaun (2, 550 m) around 7 hours trek
On this day, we will walk down the ravine of the Tarap River. We will have a various trekking path on this day as we will have to walk elevating path sometimes and at times walk on broad, firm, smooth, or narrow forms. Similarly, we can enjoy walking through the deep and breathtaking gorges. As we reach at Khanigaun, we will set our camp.

Day 20: Trek to Tarakot (2, 281 m) around 6 hours trek
We will walk ahead from Khanigaun and traverse the river by the suspension bridge. As we reach at the wide productive valley named Barbung Chu, we will stroll along with a variety of crops of barley, buckwheat, millet, sweet corn, green beans, marijuana etc. On the way, we will greeted by the terraced farms of Tarakot, a small community lying on a hillock. Tarakot is an old castle settlement well-known by the inhabitants as Dzong, which means ‘fort’. As we reach at Tarakot, we will stay overnight.

Day 21: Trek to Dunai (2, 052 m) around 4 hours trek
On this day, we will have a descending way to move on. And the Bheri River, flows side by side with u. We will set our camp as we reach Dunai for overnight.

Day 22: Trek to Juphal (2, 404 m) around 3 hours trek
This is the last day of our trekking. We will walk back to Juphal taking around 3 hours. We will set our camp for overnight as we reach Juphal.

Day 23: Fly to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj – 1 hr and 35 minutes
We will fly over the Himalayan range including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri taking 35-minute to reach Nepalgunj. After that you will fly to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj. In Kathmandu, you can just relax after the long trek or walk around and do some shopping. In the evening, we will get to enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 24: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again
