Rara Lake Trek will take you to Rara National Park (106 sq km) that holds one of the valuable gifts of the nature – Rara lake lying at 2,990 m height. You will walk around the Rara Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in Nepal. The blue waters of the extremely large lake also identified as Mahendra Lake named after late king Mahendra will completely captivate you. Popular as one of the best parks in the world, Rara National Park is home for the musk deer, leopard, ghoral, Himalayan black bear and more.

We will begin trekking from Jumla and make way up to Chere Chaur and walk along the Jugad River. Also, we will go by Khalanga Bazaar, a small market. Also, we will go up gradually to reach at the Jaljala pass (3580m). Likewise, we will move ahead from Chalachaur and walk uphill to Sinja Valley. Moreover, we will ascend on a steep track for sometimes and walk on a relatively trouble-free track to reach Laha Village. From Chuchhemara Danda, we will be rewarded by the awesome Himalayan vista and the beauty of the gigantic and serene Rara Lake. Plus, you will also see the lush plant life of the Rara National Park. Moreover, we will pass through Khatyar River Camp and some villages like Murma.

Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will take you to one of the off the beaten trails of Nepal. Appreciably, we will enjoy boating and capture the striking setting of the lake. We will also notice Chuchemara Peak set on the southern part of the Rara Lake. Besides, Malika Kand and Ruma Kand peaks lie on its northern area.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. One of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will welcome you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalizes. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the first- class traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, after having your breakfast, you will depart for going around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu
We will fly to Nepalgunj which takes an hour. Nepalgunj lying in western part of Nepal is set near the Nepal-India border. It is an attractive Terai town where you can visit the local market, nearby villages etc. Overnight in Nepalgunj.

Day 04: Fly from Nepalgunj to Jumla (2,540m)
We will fly to Jumla from Nepalgunj taking 20 minutes. Jumla set in the foot of the Sisne Himalya is the gateway to explore the secluded Karnali region of Nepal. Overnight in Jumla.

Day 05: Trek from Jumla to Chere Chaur (3055m)
We will begin trekking from Jumla and make way up to Chere Chaur and walk along the Jugad River. Also, we will go by Khalanga Bazzar, a small market. Similarly, we will pass by a number of settlements and a temple prior to reaching at Chere Chaur. Overnight in Chere Chaur.

Day 06: Chere Chaur to Chalachaur (2980m)
We will walk on the western path from Chere Chaur and go up gradually to reach at the Jaljala pass (3580m). Also, we will traverse the pass and carry on trekking on a fairly straight track to get toJaljala Chaur. Then, we will climb on a steep trail and reach Chalachaur. Overnight in Chalachaur.

Day 07: Chalachaur to Sinja Valley (2490m)
We will move ahead from Chalachaur and walk uphill to Sinja Valley. En-route, we will pass by a number of villages and walk all along the Jaljala River. At Sinja, we can explore around temples, palaces, and the ancient leftovers of a settlement. Overnight in Sinja Valley.

Day 08: Sinja to Ghorosingha (3050m)
We will depart from Sinja and trek alongside Hima River. Also, we will ascend on a steep track for sometimes and walk on a relatively trouble-free track to reach Laha Village. From Laha, we will trek to Ghorosingha next to Ghatte River. Overnight in Ghorosingha.

Day 09: Ghorosingha to Rara Lake (3010m)
We will walk on the trail beside Chuchhemara Danda. The spot will reward you with the awesome Himalayan vista and the beauty of the gigantic and serene Rara Lake. Plus, you will also see the lush plant life of the Rara National Park. Moreover, we will pass through Khatyar River Camp and some villages like Murma. Walking further we will reach near Rara lake. Overnight at Rara Lake.

Day 10: Explore Rara Lake
Rara Lake is the biggest freshwater lake in Nepal. On this day, you can enjoy witnessing blue waters of the extremely large lake also identified as Mahendra Lake named after late king Mahendra. Significantly, we will enjoy boating and capture the striking setting of the lake. We will also notice Chuchemara Peak set on the southern part of the Rara Lake. Besides, Malika Kand and Ruma Kand peaks lie on its northern area. Overnight at Rara Lake.

Day 11: Rara Lake to Pina (2440m)
From Rara Lake, we will walk on an easy trail until we reach at Gamgadhi which is the head office of the distant Mugu District of Nepal. After that, we will walk down on a steep path to Pina Village. Overnight in Pina Village.

Day 12: Pina to Bumra (2850m)
We will depart from Pina Village and descend and traverse the Ghurchi Lagna pass located at an altitude of 3480 m. We carry on descending and pass all the way through a few settlements before reaching Bumra village which is also known as Nauri Ghat. Overnight in Bumra.

Day 13: Bumra to Jumla (2540m)
This is the last day of our trekking. We will go across Hima River through a suspension bridge and walk downward. Also we will reach at a spot having natural hot spring where we can dip ourselves and relax. We will the, need to traverse Danphe Lagna pass located at an altitude of 3691 m. From Cherechaur, we walk ahead to reach Jumla. Overnight in Jumla.

Day 14: Fly to Nepalgunj, fly to Kathmandu
We will on this day fly to Nepalgunj from Juphal. We will then fly to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj. In Kathmandu, you can just relax after the long trek or walk around and do some shopping. In the evening, we will get to enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again
