Phaplu Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek in Everest region is another route to experience the most popular trekking options to reach Everest Base Camp. During the trek meeting with Sherpa people, explore around Sherpa villages, see wonderful sceneries, monasteries on the base of Mt. Everest will be one of the unforgettable experiences. You will also pass through Sagarmatha National Park which is enlisted in world heritage site. Here, several Himalayan wild lives and plants are found.

To begin trekking, you will take a scenic flight to Phaplu from Kathmandu. The things to see from the airplane are wonderful including the views of terraced hills and the remote Himalayas. As you reach Phaplu, small landing field in Solukhumbu you will ascend all the way to Takshindo Gompa. We will pass by the settlements like Chiwang and Phera and walk side by side with pine and rhododendron forests. Moving ahead from Pangmo, far-flung lake located at an altitude of 4500m. The track traverses a pictorial stream via a suspension bridge and then reaches Nunthala. Moreover, en-route to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we will capture the sights of- Khumbutse, Pumori, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal. At Gorak Shep, we will be surrounded by gigantic peaks not missing the superb view of Mt. Everest, highest mountain on the earth. We will move ahead to reach Everest base Camp which gives you the feeling of victory of summating.

The Phaplu EBC Trek is a different route to reach EBC which is arranged by Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions. The trek suits both experienced as well as novice trekkers who have normal physical fitness. And the best season to go for Phaplu EBC Trek is in between September to November and between March to May.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. One of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will greet you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our trekking guide and discuss about the trekking. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On this day after having breakfast, you will visit historical and divine attractions in Kathmandu. The majority of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are spotted with several small and large temples carved with stunning arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Early morning fly to Phaplu (2600m).
On this day, you will take a scenic flight to Phaplu from Kathmandu. The things to see from the airplane are wonderful including the views of terraced hills and the remote Himalayas. As you reach Phaplu, small landing field in Solukhumbu you will ascend all the way to Takshindo Gompa. Overnight in Phaplu.

Day 04: Phaplu to Ringmo (2800m) Around 5 hours
We will on this day trek to Ringmo leaving behind Phaplu. We will pass by the settlements like Chiwang and Phera and walk side by side with pine and rhododendron forests. We will also traverse large suspension bridge above the Dudh River lying at an elevation of 2510m. Then we will reach Ringmo which is occupied by Sherpa people and is filled with with apple, apricot and peach orchards. Overnight in Ringmo.

Day 05: Ringmo to Kharikhola (2010m) around 8 hours
We will on this day move ahead from Ringmo. Our path ascends through pine and rhododendron woods to a lengthy mani wall of Pangoma. Pangoma is a far-flung lake located at an altitude of 4500m. The track traverses a pictorial stream via a suspension bridge and then reaches Nunthala. Likewise, the path turn from side to side with fields of wheat, barley, and maize to the extensive to Jubing(1680m), a Rai settlement. Moving further on, we will reach to the village of Khari Khola. Overnight in Khari khola.

Day 06: Khari khola to Puiyan (2770m) around 7 hours
On this day, we will have a steep way up to Bupsa (2360m) from Khari Khola. Bupsa holds wheat and maize terraces beneath an opaque oak forest. The path climbs from side to side with Sherpa villages and then rise and fall through the Dudh Koshi gorge to Puiyan. Overnight at lodge in Puiyan.

Day 07: Puiyan to Phakding (2652m) around 7 hours
The track climbs for an hour ahead from Puiyan to an edge at 2800m. After walking through Lukla Airport we will have a mild climb up the ridge on the left shore of the Dudh Koshi River. En-route, you will be captivated by the views of Mt Nupla (5885m), Mt Kwongde Range and Kusum Kangaru (6367m). After that we will walk for around two hours to Phakding village. Overnight tat Phakding.

Day 08: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m) around 6 hrs trek
Walking all the way through an astonishing pine forest, along the Dudh Koshi River as well as traversing suspension bridges will let us see magnificent vista of the shimmering Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Passing communities like Benkar, and Manjo, we will reach to the entrance point to Sagarmatha National Park. Then, passing village of Jorsale, we will reach Namche Bazaar, major trading centre of this region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 09: Rest day in Namche Bazaar
On this day, you will rest in Namche Bazaar to adjust with the lofty atmosphere. Health expert advises having acclimatization day during trekking in order to stay away from altitude sickness. Namche Bazaar actually is the hub of the Everest region and the place has government offices, Internet cafes, ATMs, shops, restaurants. Etc. You can enjoy resting or just walking around or do some shopping. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 10: Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3810 m) around 4 hours
Today’s journey begins with a way up to the well-known landing field at Syangboche. We will walk up to two hours to reach Khumjung village. The Khumjung valley is bounded by the snow-white mountains like Kondge, Thamserku etc. Here, we will also get the chance to go around Hillary School. Besides, witnessing multicolored monasteries adorned with prayer flags as well as prayer wheels above this long-established village is another fascination of the trek. Overnight in Khumjung.

Day 11: Khumjung – Tengboche (3,870m) around 5 hours
We will walk down to Dudhkoshi River passing all the way through small settlements and pine and fir wood to get to a tiny knoll Tengboche which embraces well-known Tengboche Gumba to explore for the day. The photogenic views from here are considered to be the world’s most splendid one. Everest (8848m), Kwangde (6187m), Lhotse (8501m), Tawache (6542m), Kantega, Ama Dablan, and Thamserku provide interesting vistas of Himalayas. Over night at lodge.

Day 12: Tengboche to Pheriche (4240m) around 6 hours
From Tengboche, we will pass conifers and rhododendron. On the way, you may spot monal pheasants and musk deer. Taking around 5 hours we will traverse the Imja Khola and then on the way to Pangboche, we will notice mani stones which are engraved with the Tibetan Buddhist song ‘Om mani padme hum’. Walking ahead we will reach Pheriche.

Day 13: Pheriche to Lobuche (4930m) around 5 hours
On this day we will walk on the north trail along the base of the valley. We will discover that our path moves down to the glacial river and then rises up to Dughla (4620m). From Dughla, the path goes unswervingly up to the rough moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We will see that the nearby topography is dry and deserted with snow all around. As you traverse the edge, the ideal peak of Pumori (7165m) comes into view. Then, we will ascent to Lobuche.

Day 14: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m) around 4 hours
We will depart from Lobuche on this day and move through the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We pass from side to side with the pyramid sign post. En-route, we will see Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Khumbutse, etc. After a small climb we will reach Thangma Riju from where we witness 360 degree panorama of snow-white mountains.

Day 15: Gorakshep (5170m) to Everest Base camp (5364m) to Lobuche Around 6 hours
At Gorak Shep, we will be surrounded by gigantic peaks not missing the superb view of Mt. Everest, highest mountain on the earth. We will move ahead to reach Everest base Camp on this day which gives you the feeling of victory of summating. Then, you will return to Lobuche. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 16: Lobuche to Pangboche (3860m) around 5 hours
The way climbs all the way through the fields and rhododendron forests. We will have a moderate walk as we go into the Imjatse Valley. We will reach Pangboche walking ahead. Here we may also explore the oldest monastery set up in 17th century. Overnight in Pangboche.

Day 17: Pangboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m) around 6 hrs
As we begin to walk today we will traverse Imja Khola we will pass along the Debouche village to reach Tengboche. From Tengboche,we will have to walk on the steep trail of around 500m. Then, we will move through rhododendron bushes as well as fir trees. Walking further, we will pass the settlements like Tashinga and Sansa before reaching Kyangjuma where we can catch the sights of Ama-dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku, and Everest. Overnight at Kyangjuma.

Day 18: Kyangjuma to Manjo (2,840m)
The track to Namche Bazaar adheres to the steep forested incline beyond Kyangjuma. After that we will have a steep drop from Namche Hill that leads to the suspension bridge and then traverse the Dudh Koshi River near the meeting point of the Bhote Koshi and the Dudh Koshi Rivers. We will go across the Dudh Koshi River two times at different locations before getting to Manjo. Overnight in Manjo.

Day 19: Manjo to Lukla around 5 hrs
We will walk on flat trail today and also pass some descends and short ascents as well. We can get pleasure from combo of unwrapped plains, pine and rhododendron forests. You will also get to witness the distant backdrop of Kwangde peak. The final climb lasts for approximately 45 minutes from Chheplung and helps us to reach Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 20: Lukla to Kathmandu
Today, we will fly back to Kathmandu after our memorable journey. Upon reaching hotel in Kathmandu, we can relax. Or, you can go around some nearby shops in Thamel to buy typical Nepalese commodities. In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
