Manaslu Trek takes you to the beautiful Manaslu region that holds splendid Mt. Manaslu (8163m) which is the eight tallest peaks on the earth. The highest point in Manaslu Trek is going across the Larkya La Pass located at an elevation of 5160m. Catching exceptional sight of Mt. Manaslu as well as other Himalayan ranges like Simrang, Larkye Peak, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Cheo, Himlung Himal, Kangguru, Annapurna II etc. will mesmerize you.
We will drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar to begin the trek. Then, we trek along the flat path around the bank of Budhi Gandaki River via terraces, villages, green hills, forests and amazing waterfalls. Also, we will pass via Machha Khola and head over to tiny villages in Khola Bensi. Enjoying a good time at Namrung village which rewards us with the stunning peak vistas of Siring, Ganesh Himal and Mt. Himal Chuli, we will climb steadily and pass from side to side with forests and get to Lihi, a fine settlment with numerous chortens as well as barley terraces. Besides, we will explore around the village and see rich Sherpa culture. We can also get pleasure seeing the thousands of mani stones. Furthermore, we will go across the Budhi Gandaki via a wooden bridge and go up steeply to a cape flanked by two division of the river to reach Samdo. And, from Dharmashala, we will reach a valley located on the north part of the Larkya Glaciers. Here we can notice great views of Larkya Peak and Cho Danda. To end with, we stroll crosswise through moraines of the glacier to reach the Larkya La pass. From here, you will be greeted by Himlung Himal, Kangguru, Annapurna II, Cheo Himal, etc. This is the most fascinating part of the trek.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions’ representative will welcome you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the first- class traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
We will on this day go around Kathmandu for sightseeing. Most of the spots we visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO world heritage list. Firstly, we will visit Swoyambhunath, the aged Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley also known as Monkey Temple which is set at the hillock. We will then visit Pashupatinath, a holy set for which is located beside Bagmati river. Likewise, we will go around Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Asia. Moreover, we will go around Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Kathmandu Durbar Square scattered with several temple with beautiful arts. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola (710m) around 9 hours
We drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar and it approximately takes six to seven hours. First, we drive along Kathmandu to Pokhara highway; then, drive towards Arughat Bazaar which is a cool scenic drive. We stay overnight in a lodge.
Day 04: Trek Arughat Bazaar to Soti Khola (730m) or Liding (800m)
This day, we trek along the flat path around the bank of Budhi Gandaki River via terraces, villages, green hills, forests and amazing waterfalls. We reach Liding after we move uphill and downhill through Sal forest, local vegetation and Chilaune. We stay overnight in a teahouse or camps.
Day 05: Trek from Liding to Macha Khola to Khorlabeshi (930m)
The trek takes around six to seven hours. We hike through villages, streams, waterfalls, green valley, forest and many more; until you reach the place called Lapu Besi, which is mostly occupied by Mongolian. Later, we pass via zigzag route to reach Macha Khola; and finally, Khorlabeshi. Once we reach over, there are few markets to wander around and have time for your own. We will be staying overnight in a camp or teahouses.
Day 06: Khorlabesi to Jagat (1440m)
We pass via Machha Khola and head over to tiny villages in Khola Bensi; and then, hot spring in Tato Pani. This trail is difficult and quite exposed in some places so good guidance is needed. After short sections of forest ways, we reach Doban. Later this day, we cross the river and climb upward to the fields of Jagat, where you stay overnight in a lodge or camps.
Day 07: Jagat to Deng (1,804m) around 7 hrs
We will on this day ascend on a rocky ridge to reach Salleri, and subsequently move down to Sirdibas. Our path will also move up to Ghatta River. We will also walk long suspension bridge to reach Philim, a big Gurung settlement. The track then turns to the north direction just over the lowest house in the settlement and going across the millet fields, we will reach Ekle Bhatti. Likewise, we will move down on the grassy slopes and then traverse the Budhi Gandaki river. Trekking along the west bank of the river for a while, we will go across the east bank. Furtehrmore, passing through bamboo woods to the Deng River, we will reach one of the small villages of Deng. Overnight in Deng.
Day 08: Deng to Namrung (2630m) around 7 hrs
We will trek to Namrung on this day. Firstly, we will traverse the Budhi Gandaki river and ascend to Rana lying at 1910m. After that we will climb ahead to the Budhi Gandaki valley. The track also moves from side to side with woods and mani. We will take up a path through Prok village which holds a viewpoint for a striking vista of Siringi Himal. Likewise, the path moves follows the Budhi Gandaki river upstream all the way through a thick forest. Before reaching Namrung, we will notice the woods turning less dense and the track is fine again. Overnight in Namrung.
Day 09: Namrung to Samagaon [3530m) around 7 hrs
Enjoying a good time at Namrung village which rewards us with the stunning peak vistas of Siring, Ganesh Himal and Mt. Himal Chuli, we will climb steadily and pass from side to side with forests and get to Lihi, a fine settlment with numerous chortens as well as barley terraces. We will then move ahead passing pass through Lho, Sho, and Shyala settlements before getting at Sama Village. Here, we will be greeted by extraordinary vistas of Mt. Manaslu and we can go around Ribung Gompa. In Shyala settlement we will be bounded by high peaks like Peak 29 and Himal Chuli to the left side, other snowy peaks to the right, Manaslu and huge glaciers directly ahead, and Ganesh Himal at far end. We will reach at Samgaon where we will stay overnight.
Day 10: Acclimatization in Samagaon
We actually have a day rest in Samagaon on this day to acclimatize ourselves. We will explore around the village and see rich Sherpa culture. We can also get pleasure seeing the thousands of mani stones. Close to the Sama village, on a small hill, we can see Pungyen Gompa, an old monastery with vast vistas of the glacier. Overnight in Samagaon.
Day 11: Samagaon – Samdo (3860m) around 7 hrs
On this day, we will move down to the Budhi Gandaki River, that has flowed to the north direction. Then, we will follow it until we get to a bridge above a side stream. The track to the left side will take us to the Manaslu Base camp. We will also pass more than a few mani walls. Also, we will be walking above the river passing the birch and juniper forests of Kermo Kharka. Then, we will go across the Budhi Gandaki via a wooden bridge and go up steeply to a cape flanked by two division of the river. Walking further, we will reach Samdo. Overnight in Samdo.
Day 12: Acclimatization in Samdo
We will have one more day to acclimatize ourselves. Alternatively, we can hike to the trade passes to Tibet for catching exceptional sight of Mt. Manaslu as well as other Himalayan ranges like Simrang, Larkye Peak, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Cheo etc. On the way to the viewpoint, we will pass a lot of seasonal herding community referred as doksas and may spot Lophophorus also known as Danphe which is the national bird of Nepal. Overnight in Samdo.
Day 13: Samdo to Dharamsala (4460m) around 7 hrs
We will in the beginning cross the wooden bridge above Budi Gandaki and climb ahead. Also, we will traverse two streams and witness the Larkya Glacier. Upon reaching at the valley of the Salka Khola, we will climb up further to the point which is similar to guesthouse built up by stone. The spot is known as Dharmshala, also named as Larke Phedi. Overnight in Dharmashala.
Day 14: Dharamsala to Larkya la (5160m) to Bimthang (3720m) around 9 hours
With a short climb, as we leave Dharmashala, we will reach a valley located on the north part of the Larkya Glaciers. Here we can notice great views of Larkya Peak and Cho Danda. To end with, we stroll crosswise through moraines of the glacier to reach the Larkya La pass. From here, you will be greeted by Himlung Himal, Kangguru, Annapurna II, Cheo Himal, etc. We will then walk to Bimthang. Overnight in Bimthang.
Day 15: Bimthang to- Tilije (2300m) around 6 hours
Enjoting impressive views of Mt. Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Lamjung Himal, and Cheo Himal we will trek ahead from Bimthang. We descend additionally and traverse a high pasture named as Sangure Kharka. Plus, we will walk through rhododendron woods and follow a track all the way through a slim valley until we get to the top cultivated land. We go by across fields prior to making a vertical way up over a ridge. We will also go across the village named Gho and move ahead to Tilije. Overnight in Tilije Village.
Day 16: Tilije to Tal (1700m) around 6 hours
We will climb over a small edge and get pleasure from the stone covered track as it passes from side to side with a striking village. We will after that traverse the bridge above Dudh River. Subsequently, we will climb up and pass a mani wall and get to the Thonje village. Walking further down, we will pass Dharapani and also go across Karte village. We will then traverse Marsyangdi Khola via a bridge. We will after that get to the village of Tal which is located at the base of a big waterfall. Overnight in Tal.
Day 17: Tal to Syange (1080m) around 7 hours
We will be walking ahead to Chyamje village after traversing the Marsyangdi river again. The Marsyangdi valley will widen and we will notice terrace fields and settlements hanging far above the ground to the hillsides. The track then descends all the way through rhododendron as well as pine forests to reach Syange. Overnight in Syange.
Day 18: Syange to Kathmandu around 9 hours
We will on this drive to Kathmandu through Besi Sahar. On the way, you will enjoy superb scenery of both peaks and hills. We will be beside the Marsyangdi or Trishuli River. In Kathmandu, you can just relax after the long trek or walk around and do some shopping. In the evening, we will get to enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 19: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again
