Gosainkunda Pilgrimage Trek actually presents a superb chance to walk around Langtang valley and discern Gosainkunda Mountain Lake. Gosainkunda, in fact is one of the holiest lakes set at an altitude of 4380 m. The lake is holy for both Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims. The visitors especially visit the lake every year on August full moon day. They believe that bathing at the lake they will rinse out all the sins of their life.

To begin our Gosainkunda Pilgrimage Trek, we will drive from to Dhunche, pass by Raniban and make way up to Kakani from where outstanding vistas of massive Himalayas like Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and a lot of other peaks greet us prior to reaching Rani pauwa. In addition, we will have time to go around small Buddhist monastery, Sing Gompa. Walking further on, a signpost in Nepali makes you ready to enter the Gosainkunda protected spot. Remarkably, spectacular sights will appeal you as you perceive Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli as well as Manaslu. After going transversely south side, we will get to witness the first of the Gosainkunda lakes- Saraswati Kunda followed by Bhairav Kund. Then, the path moves up to an edge and falls down around 20m to the third and holiest lake –Gosainkunda. The lake lies at the height of 4380m, which is clear from the large Shiva linga. According to Hindus legends, high elevated lake created by Lord Shiva as he penetrated a glacier with his trident to get the water to put out this thirst after taking in poison to save the earth.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. One of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will welcome you and help you relocate to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the first- class traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, after having your breakfast, you will depart for going around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Similarly, on this day you will also prepare for trekking and we will give a short description about the trek. You can ask if you have any queries about the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Dhunche drive (1950m) approximately 8 hours
On this day, we will drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche taking roughly eight hours. We will pass over Raniban and climb to Kakani. From here exceptional vistas of gigantic Himalayas like Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and a lot of other greet us prior to reaching Rani pauwa. We will also walk up to Dhunche passing through Kalikasthan and go by the National Park check post. Overnight in Dhunche.

Day 04: Dhunche to Sing Gompa (3350m) approximately 6 hours
We will pass through the bridge above Trishuli River (1680m) as we move further on from Dhunche. We will make way up to reach the peak of the ridge (1970m) where we can observe teahouse at the overlapping trail of Gosainkunda and Syabru village. We will go on walking up and after that arrive at a final crest located at 3260m. We will have an opportunity to go around small Buddhist monastery, Sing Gompa which is approximately 100m along the path to the left. This is the central part at Chandan Bari (3250m). Overnight in Sing Gompa.

Day 05: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4380m) approximately 7 hours
This is the most tempting day of the trek. From Sing Gompa, we will ascend slowly but definitely side to side with rhododendron woodland along with the Trishuli River set far beneath. After that we will get nearer to at Chalang Pati (3380m). Memorably, wonderful sights will allure you as you see Langtang Lirung on the north side, and the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Himalchuli on the west. After going transversely via south side of the ridge, the pathway turns narrower and after that you will find the first of the Gosainkunda lakes named Saraswati Kunda. After going across a spur, the second lake becomes visible in the progression, which is named as Bhairav Kunda. Yet again, the path moves up to a ridge and falls down about 20m to the largest and third lake which is the most popular and the holy one –Gosainkunda. The lake falls at an elevation of 4380m, which is clear from the large Shiva linga. Overnight in Gosainkunda.

Day 06: Gosainkunda to Ghopte (3430m) approximately 6 hours
On this day, we will walk further on from Gosainkunda, the path goes round the shore of the lake prior to moving up to the Laurebina Pass. As you move up, you can mark four other lakes of minor scales from the pass lying at 4610m. Then, the track moves down, unexpectedly at first to the southeast side on a rock-strewn path, yet the walk is easier. Also, the path descends another edge after passing several streams and two waterfalls. Subsequently, you will get to Ghopte (3430m), where hanging rocks have formed a cave that is often used as a camp set by trekkers.Overnightin Ghopte.

Day 07: Ghopte to Tharepati (3490m) approximately 5 hours
We will move further on from Ghopte and then enter a deep rhododendron woods after traversing caves. We will move across a river and then the path will make a concluding way to reach Tharepati lying at an elevation 3490m. We will also see a group of small huts made of stones. After finishing our lunch, we will climb the hill located on the east of the edge to catch the striking vistas of Shisha Pangama (8013m), Dorje Lakpa, and several other peaks. Overnight in Tharepati.

Day 08: Tharepati to Kutumsang (2470m) approximately 6 hours
We will leave Tharepati, and stroll on a trouble-free way down passing from side to side with woods as well as meadows and traverse streams further on of reaching Magengoth (3150m). It is one of the out-of-the-way areas with towering pastures and rhododendron jungles. The track also descends and then we will have a steep way down to Kutumsang (2470m), a small settlemnt on a stormy edge saddle. Here your trekking permit will be checked by the Langtang National Park office. Overnight in Kutumsang.

Day 09: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2190m) approximately 8 hours
From Kutumsang, we will move up to a lush pasture where you will observe a large chorten at Gul Bhanjyang. After that, we will also pass through a pass set at an elevation of 2620m. We will then move down to the Tamang settlement and move with a woody edge to get to Thodang Betini, an extended village. Moreover, we will go across a pass at the crest of the Jhogin Danda edge which falls 2470m high. We will also descend on a stone stairway to reach Chipling (2170m). The track after that makes a vertical way up to Chisapani from where the sights of giant Himalayas in amazing. Overnight in Chisapani.

Day 10: Chisapani to Kathmandu (1300m) approximately 3 hours
From Chisapani, we will begin early in the morning to observe the incredible sunrise on the Himalayan range from Annapurna to Everest. We will also pass via Borlang Bhanjyang community and carry on ascending to the Shivapuri edge. On the way, we will also go by by dense forested area of pine, rhododendron as well as oak trees. Furthermore, we will walk down to reach Sundarijal. From Sundarijal, you will drive taking an hour to reach Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you can just relax after the long trek or walk around and do some shopping. In the evening, we will get to enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 11: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
