Khopara Trail trek rewards you with the breathtaking views of numerous snow topped mountains including Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna I (8091m), Tukuche, Nilgiri (6940m), Tarke Kang (7193m) and more. You can also witness the blooming rhododendrons and plunge yourself in its natural loveliness during the trek.

To begin our trek, we will drive to Nayapul from Kathmandu from where our trekking begins. On the way, we will pass local villages, lush hills, rivers and local people. After crossing the Tikhedhunga River via the suspension bridge, the path begins to rise up steeply on a staircase. While trekking to Ghorepani, we will walk through the forest the majority of the day. If you are trekking in spring season, you will get to notice a lot of rhododendron flowers. We will also trek to Poonhill (3210m) which is another best part of the trek and rewards with views of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Bahari shikhar, Dhaulagiri ranges, Annapurna I,II,III,IV, Mt. Manaslu ranges, Tukuche peak, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and several others mountains. Plus, while trekking to Tadapani, you will pass by forest that holds over 15 species of rhododendron and during springtime the budding multicolored rhododendrons will mesmerize you. While leaving Tadapani Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Annapurna III may very close to us. Then we will hike to Ghandruk Village. In Ghandruk village we will have our lunch and explore around this biggest settlement of Gurung people and see their way of life as well as culture. Apart from attractively close-up lofty views of Fishtail, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South Mountains, we also visit the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk.

Also, during the Khopara Trail trek, you will get explore around different settlements and meet with local Gurung, Magar people and see their cultures. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. One of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will welcome you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the first- class traditional Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second day, after having your breakfast, you will depart for going around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly Pokhara (823m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga
Today, we will fly to Pokhara with a picturesque flight rewarding you with enormous mountain views. In Pokhara, the astonishing lake city will again reward you with the splendid views of Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, five peaks of Annapurna and several others. Then, we will drive to Naya Pul to start the trek to Tikhedhunga. From Birethanti, we go up on the track to reach Tikhedhunga passing Burundi river. Also, we will pass by settlements like Mathathati Hille, Sudame, and finally traverse beautifully settled rural community to reach Tikhedhunga.

Day 04: Trek from Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani (2850m)
From Tikhedhunga, we will trek to Ulleri walking on the stone staircase which is well-off village inhabited typically by Magar people. Similarly, we will walk through the forest the majority of the day. If you are trekking in spring season, you will get to notice a lot of rhododendron flowers. The trail goes up gently all the way through meadows, and cultivated fields. You have the chance to observe a lot of wild lives on the way. If you are a passionate birdwatcher you can also get the chance to spot different species of birds like redstarts, dippers, varieties of kingfishers, fork tails, magpies, parakeets, tits, a lot of types s of warblers, barbets, etc. And you will be captivated by the stunning views of numerous snow topped mountains including Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna I (8091m), Tukuche, Nilgiri (6940m), Tarke Kang (7193m) and more. We will walk for around 5 hours on this day and reach Ghorepani. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 05: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2660m) via Poon Hill 3210m
This is the most important day of the trek. We will start walking early in the morning to reach Poonhill (3210m) taking about one hour. You will observe the magnificent sunrise vies and splendid panorama of the giant Himalayas like Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Bahari shikhar, Dhaulagiri ranges, Annapurna I,II,III,IV, Mt. Manaslu ranges, Tukuche peak, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and several others mountains. After that we will return back to Ghorepani, have our breakfast and move down to Tadapani where you will pass by forest is that holds over 15 species of rhododendron and during springtime the budding multicolored rhododendrons will mesmerize you. Overnight in Tadapani.

Day 06: Trek from Tadapani Baili to Kharka (3450m) 5 hours.
While leaving Tadapani Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Annapurna III may very close to us. Several parts are very tender around the peak ridge today and some areas are very vertical up. After almost as hour we will get to the top, and reach at Baili Kharka. We will walk on some parts which are rather gentle around the ridge and a number of parts moved vertically up. Overnight at Baili Kharka after trekking for may be 5 hours.

Day 07: Trek from Baili Kharka to Khopra Danda (3660m) 5 hours.
From Baili Kharka we will walk through forests with big trees. We will reach a place called Chistibang and walking for around two hours we will reach at the top where we will get to see beautiful Dhaulagiri, Damphus Peak, Tukhuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, and more. Overnight at Khopra Danda.

Day 08: Trek from Khopra Danda to Paudwar (1750m)
We will notice a lake (4300) as we walk ahead from Khopra Danda. We will today walk on the steep edge with uneven stony steps. Walking ahead we will reach a big Ridge form where the walk is no more challenging. We will also see the hillsides of Nepal. Then after, we will reach at Paudwar, a village with very less tourists. You can explore around the village filled with very friendly people. Overnight in Paudwar.

Day 09: Trek from Paudwar to Swanta (2400m) 3 hours.
On this day, our trail will pass through the Kali Gandaki. Also, we will walk passing shrines used by pilgrims on their yearly visit to the holy lakes. Then, we will arrive at Swanta after walking for around 3 hours from Paudwar. Overnight at Swanta.

Day 10: Trek from Swanta – Baili Kharka (3450m.) 6 hours.
Today we will walk on a grassy slope as we leave behind Swanta and pass through grazing land with many herder huts as well as yaks grazing. Here we may also spot the colorful Danphe pheasant which is the national bird of Nepal. You can also see Himalayan thar on the green edge high on top of the trail. After around 6 hours, we will reach at Baili Kharka where we will stay overnight.

Day 11: Trek from Baili Kharka to Tadapani (2675m) 6 hours.
Walking ahead from Baili Kharka, on this day we will reach over the tree line to stunning views of the Annapurna Himalayas. We will have our lunch near by a small stream and continue to go up slowly through unwrapped scenery to reach a small pass. Then we will walk down through rhododendron woods to Tadapani. You will be stunned by the views of giant Mt Dhaulagiri.

Day 12: Trek from Tadapani to Pokhara (900m)
We will on this day move downhill from Tadapani to get to Bhaise Kharka where you can rest for sometime enjoying tea or coffee. Then, we will continue our walk for around two hours to reach Ghandruk which lies at an altitude 2090m. The nearest panorama of Annapurna as well as Machhapuchhre will mesmerize you. You will get to see Gurung culture and traditions while walking today. Walking ahead, we will reach Birethati and from here we will walk to Nayapul to drive back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1350m)
We fly back to Kathmandu from Pokhara seeing the similar exquisiteness of huge peaks. In Kathmandu, you can just relax after the long trek or walk around and do some shopping. In the evening, we will get to enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
