No doubt, Everest region is the most wonderful trekking region which grips four of the world’s six highest peaks Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Makalu (8462m), Cho Oyu (8,201 m) and Mt. Lhotse (‎8,516 m). Mainly, the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek in Everest region via Jiri is the most fascinating alternative to enter in this Himalayan land. With the exception of witnessing spectacular peak views, you will get an opportunity to see the sights of different Sherpa settlement.

There are actually two routes to EBC trek- from Lukla and another from Jiri. From Jiri, we will go on driving to Bhandar, which is our beginning point to trek. Here, you can get delight from the sights of Koshi River and vistas of the eastern Himalaya including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa. On the way, we will also climb to Lamjura La (3530 meters) from side to side with pine, maple, magnolia, birch and rhododendron woods. Also, we will pass through Dagchu and Goyem settlements. Lamjura La pass presents an awesome view of green mountains. While walking to Nunthala we will be captured by the attention grabbing views of the gigantic mountains like Everest, Makalu, Thamseruku, Lhotse, Nupte, Mera Peak, and many more. Also, walking further on you will visit Tengboche monastery, the major monastery of the Everest region. on the way to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, we will be arrested by the sights of- Khumbutse, Pumori, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal. At Gorak Shep, we will be bounded by enormous peaks not missing the terrific view of Mt. Everest, highest peak on the earth. We will move forward to get to Everest base Camp and also trek to Kalapathhar to witness break of the dawn and memorable views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Changtse tower to the east.

This Jiri to Everest base camp trek designed by Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions is one of the great adventure trek route for both experienced and amateur trekkers who are who are physically fit. During this Jiri EBC Trek getting enough proper acclimatization time, you will pass through the alpine forests, enjoy the warm welcoming nature of ethnic people and witness stunning glacial rivers. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300 m)
You will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu by flight. One of the workers from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will welcome you and help out to transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
On the second after having your breakfast, you will go around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are registered in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are dappled with more than a few small and big temples engraved with stunning arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. You will also have a discussion about the trek with the leader and other team members. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar via Jiri. Around 6-7 hrs
Today, we will drive to Jiri early in the morning which lies approximately 187 km north-east of Kathmandu taking around 7 hours. From Jiri, we will go on driving to Bhandar, which is our beginning point to trek. Here, you can get pleasure from the sights of Koshi River and vistas of the eastern Himalaya including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa. Overnight at Bhandar.

Day 04: Bhandar to Sete (2575m) around 7 hrs
We will on this day walk leaving Bhandar all the way passing deep forests and traverse a few rivers as well as settlements like Dokharpa and Baranda. Then, we will ascend through the woods winding down to the Surma River. We will then walk up to the ridge where we will notice the small Kenja settlement. Walking further ahead, we will reach Sete. Overnight at Sete.

Day 05: Sete trek to Junbesi (2670 m) about 7 hrs
We will walk ahead from Sete. On the way, we will climb to Lamjura La (3530 meters) from side to side with pine, maple, magnolia, birch and rhododendron woods. Also, we will pass through Dagchu and Goyem settlements. Lamjura La pass presents an awesome view of green mountains. Then, we will walk way down passing Tragdobuk and reach Junbesi. Overnight at Junbesi.

Day 06: Junbesi trek to Nunthala (2220m) Around 6 hrs
We will on this day trek to Nun Thala. We will traverse the river beyond Junbesi and make way up to the forest hill. Then, we will be captured by the attention grabbing views of the gigantic mountains like Everest, Makalu, Thamseruku, Lhotse, Nupte, Mera Peak, and many more. We will walk continuously to Salung and move down to Ringmo River. After walking up to Ringmo,we will also go across the Trakshindo La pass and go down to Trashingdo. Passing through conifer as well as rhododendron forests, we will reach Nunthala. Overnight at Nunthala.

Day 07: Nunthala to Bupsa (2360 m/7,740 ft): 5/6 hrs
Descend down the trail to the Dudh Koshi River. We follow the Dudh Koshi River as we head upward to Khumbu. Cross the bridge, climb to Jubing and continue straight to Churkha. Climb the trail eastward to reach Kharikhola and descend to cross a suspension bridge. Another steep climb finally takes us to Bupsa. Overnight at Bupsa. Included meals:BLD

Day 08: Bupsa to Surke (2290m) around 6 hours
On this day, we will walk on the wooded trail and pass Kharte. From Kharte, we will cross Khari La pass where we can witness glorious vistas of Gyachung Kang and Khumbila peaks. After that, we will walk down to Puiyan then reach Surke. Overnight at Surke.

Day 09: Surke to Phakding (2,652m) Around 5 hours
Today we will make way to Chaurikharka leaving Surke. Walking ahead we will reach Phakding. Overnight at Phakding.

Day 10: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)Around 6 hours
On this day, we will pass a beautiful pine woods, the path leads us next to the Dudh Koshi River and we will also go across several suspension bridges. We will be then captures by the shiny view of Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). We will walk passing sets like Benkar, Monjo and then reach the check post and access point to Sagarmatha National Park. Then, passing village of Jorsale, we will reach Namche Bazaar, major trading centre of this region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 11: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
On this day, we will take rest in Namche Bazaar to get used to with the elevated air. Health expert recommends having acclimatization day during trekking in order to avoid altitude sickness. Namche Bazaar actually is the hub of the Everest region and the place has government offices, Internet cafes, ATMs, shops, restaurants. Etc. You can enjoy resting or just walking around or do some shopping. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche Bazzar to Tengboche (3,870m) around 6 hours
We will begin our trek to Tengboche from Namche on this day. The walk will allow a chance to witness superb views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and more. The path goes gradually to Kayangjuma and takes us to Sansa, which is the main crossroads to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo valley. You will also get ahead of the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River adorned with prayer flags and reach Phunki Thenga, a small community with some teahouses. After that we will walk through the pine woods before we get to Tengboche. Tengboche is a great set for awesome views of Mt Ama Dablam Mt Everest and Mt Nuptse. Finally, we will visit Tengboche monastery, the biggest monastery of the Everest region. Overnight at a lodge at Tengboche.

Day 13: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m) around 6 hours
The scenic peak settings and the Tengboche monastery looks fabulous. Then, we will depart from the upper track for better vistas on the journey to Pangboche village. We leave behind several Mani walls and Chortens. Also, after having lunch, we will walk north to Pheriche or take the trail underneath the lofty north face of Mt Ama Dablam. We will notice the valley gradually opening up as we come up to the union point of the Lobuche River. We move down to the river and start steep way up to Dingboche where we will notice striking array of fields bordered by stone walls. Overnight at Dingboche.

Day 14: Dingboche – Duglha (4,600 m) Around 4 hours
We begin climbing to Duglha from side to side with the Khumbu Khola valley. And on this day we will walk next to the arid terrace which rewards with breathtaking views of peaks on all sides. We can observe the valley narrowing as we carry on walking and pass all the way through Phulung Karpo. On the way, we will see the grand view of Mt. Pumori (7138 m). Also, we will traverse a small wooden bridge and then climb to Duglha. We will get to see the peak point of Mt Nuptse, Mt Cholatse, Mt Thamserku, and quite a few other splendid peaks. Overnight at Duglha.

Day 15: Duglha – Lobuche (4940 m) Around 4 hours
To reach Lobuche on this day we will pass moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and ascend Chupki Lhara, an uncanny ridge with vivid mountains vistas. As the track descends to the Khumbu Glacier moraine,great peaks – Khumbutse, Pumori, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal appears in the front. We will then trek along a muttering stream andthe Khumbu glacier goes out of our sight as we reach Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 16: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5170 m) to Everest Base Camp (5364 m) to Gorak Shep Around 8 hours
En-route to Gorakshep, we can see peak of north edge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Lingtern, Mahalangur, Khumbutse, etc. After a small way up we will get to Thangma Riju from where we can observe 360 degree vista of snow-white mountains. At Gorak Shep, we will be surrounded by gigantic peaks not missing the superb view of Mt. Everest, highest mountain on the earth. We will move aahead to reach Everest base Camp which gives you the feeling of victory of summating. Then, you will return to Gorakshep. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 17: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545 m) to Pheriche (4280 m) around 8 hours
This is another important fascination of the trek. We will walk early in the morning to seize the spectacular vistas from Kala Patthar. You will get to see peaks such as Lingtren, Changtse, Khumbutse, standing to the east while the giant Everest appears in between the west crest and Nuptse. From the peak of the Kalapathhar, you will notice cairns and prayer flags. You can capture as many photos as you like with your camera. Then, you will walk back to Gorak Shep to have your breakfast and after that make way down to Pheriche. Overnight in Pheriche.

Day 18: Pheriche to Pangboche to Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) around 6 hours
We will on this day walk down through rhododendron and juniper woods’ hill. After going across the prayer flag decorated bridge above the Dudh Koshi River, we will follow the Dudh Koshi gorge trail moving down speedily through the pine woods. Then, walking further ahead we will walk on the trail to Namche Bazaar passing the steep forested hill beyond Kyangjuma. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 19: Namche Bazaar-Lukla (2,800m) around 8 hours
We will walk on flat track today and also pass some descends and short ascents as well. We can get pleasure from combo of unwrapped plains, pine and rhododendron forests. You will also get to witness the distant backdrop of Kwangde peak. The final climb lasts for approximately 45 minutes from Chheplung and helps us to reach Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 20: Lukla – Kathmandu
Today, we will fly back to Kathmandu after our memorable journey. Upon reaching hotel in Kathmandu, we can relax. Or, you can go around some nearby shops in Thamel to buy typical Nepalese commodities. In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
