A sequence of stunning turquoise lakes, Nepal’s largest glacier and panorama of snowy mountains noticeable during the Gokyo Lake Trek will enthrall you for the lifetime. The Gokyo valley is identified as the most eye-catching region in the Khumbu Region. If you are enthusiastic to experience the glory of the Everest range, just go for Gokyo Lake Trek. The sight from Gokyo is remarkably attractive and presents more legendary peaks.

To begin our trek we will take up early morning flight to reach Lukla (2,800m), the most stunning air ways in the world as it has dramatic landing on a hillside bordered by elevated peaks. And from Phakding we will walk through a stunning pine woods along the Dudh Koshi River. On this day you will get to witness breathtaking scene of the Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). As we ascend up to Namche Bazaar, splendid view of Kwangde Peak, Kangaru peak, Kusum peak, Mt. Everest, Tawache, Lhotse, and many other marvelous mountains welcome us. Also, we will get to Sansa, the main trail intersection to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo valley. We will ascend up through Mongla pass located at an altitude of 3975 m where we will be captivated by Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Thamserku,and Mt. Khumbila. Besides, we will be rewarded by the vistas of Cho Oyu, Thamserku and Kantega on the way to Machhermo. Appreciably, we will ascend to the moraine of the Ngozamba Glacier and walking ahead, we get to see the first lake Longpongo set at 4690m. Then after, the second lake, Taboche Tsho completely captivates us with its gleaming turquoise blue water dazzling in the sun. In sequence, third lake also appears. We will notice that the Gokyo village is set by the third lake, Like cherry on the top, Cho-Oyu peak as a background presents a fabulous sight here. Optionally, you may also climb Gokyo Ri. The trail moves on to fifth lake and the vistas of Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Gyachung Kang, Nuptse, Makalu will completely allure you. Ahead of the fifth Lakes lies the Cho Oyu Base Camp. Then, we will return back to Gokyo village.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, one of the representatives from Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions will greet you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide . In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
This is your second day in Nepal. After having your breakfast, you will walk around most historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the sets you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding (2,652m) approximately 4 hours trek
On this day, we will move to the airport and take up early morning flight to reach Lukla (2,800m) from where the trek begins. Lukla is one of the most stunning air ways in the world as it has dramatic landing on a hillside bordered by elevated peaks. As soon as we reach Lukla, we will start our trek passing the village to get to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) approximately 6 hrs
From Phakding we will walk through a stunning pine woods along the Dudh Koshi River. On this day you will get to witness breathtaking scene of the Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Walking all the way through Benkar, Manjo, we reach at the entrance point to Sagarmatha National Park. Then, passing village of Jorsale, we will reach Namche Bazaar, major trading centre of this region. As we ascend up to Namche Bazzar, splendid view of Kwangde Peak, Kangaru peak, Kusum peak, Mt. Everest, Tawache, Lhotse, and many other marvelous mountains welcome us. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Rest day in Namche Bazaar
On this day, you will rest in Namche Bazaar to get accustomed with the elevated atmosphere. Health expert recommends having acclimatization day during trekking in order to avoid altitude sickness. Namche Bazaar actually is the hub of the Everest region and the place has government offices, Internet cafes, ATMs, shops, restaurants. Etc. You can enjoy resting or just walking around or do some shopping. Or, you may walk around Khumjung which is surrounded by the snow-white peaks of Kongde and Thamserku We also visit Hillary School situated at the same location. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Phorse Village(3810 m) Around 6 hrs
We will depart from Namche after breakfast and walk ahead witnessing superb view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku etc. Our path rises and falls gradually. If you are lucky you may spot wild lives like musk deer, pheasant, or a herd of Himalayan Thar. Then, we will get to Sansa, the main trail intersection to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo valley. We will ascend up through Mongla pass located at an altitude of 3975 m where we will be captivated by Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Thamserku,and Mt. Khumbila. Then we will walk down to Dudhkosi Khola (3250 m), and all over again trek up all the way through the rhododendron forest, to reach Phorse lying at the foot of Tawoche and Cholaste. Overnight at Phorse Village.

Day 07: Phorse Village to Machhermo (4,470 m) Around 6 hrs
We will traverse Dudh Koshi river, and also pas through forests, a number of waterfalls to reach Dole. After that we will ascend steadily up from side to side with a picturesque edge on top of Dole and the path climbs through Lhabarma. We will be rewarded by the vistas of Cho Oyu, Thamserku and Kantega, and on the way and then the trail takes us all the way through many summer settlements. Also, we will walk along the hill side above noisy Dudkoshi River and pass some small settlements and sandy spurs, we will reach Machhermo where we can see the beautiful river flowing down from the Phari Lapche and Kyajo Ri mountains. Overnight in Machhermo.

Day 08: Machhermo – Gokyo (4800 m) approximately 6 hours
Today, we go up through an edge Chorten from where we can see wonderful sight of Mt. Kangtega, Thamserku, and Cho-Oyu (8153m) on the northern part. Our path passes all the way through a Chorten to get to Pangka (4480m), the palace where a flood killed 40 people in 1995. We move down to the river shore before ascending to the moraine of the Ngozamba Glacier. After traversing a bridge, the path levels out as we get to see the first lake Longpongo set at 4690m. Then after, the second lake, Taboche Tsho completely captivates us with its gleaming turquoise blue water dazzling in the sun. Sequentially, third lake also appears. We will notice that the Gokyo village is set by the third lake, Like cherry on the top, Cho-Oyu peak as a background presents a fabulous sight here. Overnight at Gokyo.

Day 09: Ascend Gokyo Ri (5357 m) and hike to fifth lakes: Around 6 hrs
This is another acclimatization day to get used to with the environment. You may just relax or climb Gokyo Ri. The trail moves on to fifth lake and the vistas of Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Gyachung Kang, Nuptse, Makalu will completely allure you. Ahead of the fifth Lakes lies the Cho Oyu Base Camp. Then, we will return back to Gokyo village. Overnight at Gokyo.

Day 10: Gokyo to Dole Around 4 hrs
From Gokyo, we will have an easy walk down next to the Dudh Koshi River that comes out of the Ngozumpa Glacier. We will get to see the settlement of Phangka to the front. The track descends further below Phangka, and goes crossways to a level terrace on the hill to go up to a rib on the far-off side of the hill side. On the way, we may also witness Thamserku , Cho Oyu, and Kangtega. We will walk down to through the charming rural community of Luza and Lhafarma before reaching Dole. Overnight at Dole.

Day 11: Dole – Namche Around 5 hrs
We will move ahead from Dole and as we reach Mongla, Mt. Khumbila, Taboche, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Kangtega, will greet us again. Walking for some time, we get to a junction where the vertical path up from Sanasa appears. Then, we will reach Namche where we will again capture the sight of Everest and Tengboche. Overnight in Namche.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar – Lukla, around 8 hrs
The trail moves down from Namche bazaar on this day. After traversing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi, the track levels up. We will walk from side to side with the Sherpa villages where we can notice prayer stones and prayers flag signifying Buddhist culture. Then we will arrive at Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu
Today, we will fly back to Kathmandu after our memorable journey. Upon reaching hotel in Kathmandu, we can relax. Or, you can go around some nearby shops in Thamel to buy typical Nepalese commodities. In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
