Chola Pass lying at an elevation of 5330m is one of the most appealing parts of Everest trekking. It is one of the adventurous yet rewarding trekking options in Nepal. Being greeted by the mightiest mountains of the earth and reaching at the foot of the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest (8848m) are the fascinating parts of the trek. The EBC Chola Pass trek will reward you with the wonderful views of Himalayas Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723mMt. Kantega ( 6685m), ), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m), Mt.Kongde (6011m), and many other extremely large snow-capped peaks.

To begin our trek, we will move to the airport and take up early morning flight to reach Lukla (2,800m). The track from Lukla is trouble-free and after coming crosswise through the tiny rural community of Ghat (2550m) we will get to Phakding. Walking all the way through Benkar, Manjo, we reach at the entrance point to Sagarmatha National Park. Then, passing village of Jorsale, we will reach Namche Bazaar, major trading centre of this region where we will acclimatize for a day. Also, we will ascend up through Mongla pass located at an altitude of 3975 m where we will be captivated by Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Thamserku, and Mt. Khumbila. Besides, we will continue walking to see the stunning lakes at Gokyo, the melted-pouring down the west part of the Ngozumpa Glacier. After traversing a bridge, the trail levels out as we get to observe the first lake Longpongo set at 4690m. Then after, the second lake, Taboche Tsho completely captivates us with its gleaming turquoise blue water dazzling in the sun. Sequentially, third lake also appears. We will notice that the Gokyo village is set by the third lake, like cherry on the top, Cho-Oyu peak as a background presents a fabulous sight here. Significantly, major day of our trek crops up to trek to Chola Pass. We will traverse Cho La Pass (5350m) and walk a long way downward to arrive at Jhongla. Moving additionally up the valley, we pass through a ridge and an aged sideways moraine, before beginning the uneven muddle to go by. After that, from the pass there are terrific views, crosswise through the Ama Dablam located to the south east and Rolwaling Valley falling in the west. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m)
As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, Destination Unlimited Treks & Expeditions’ representative will greet you and help you transfer to our hotel after completing formalities. At hotel, you will meet our guide. In the evening, you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After having your breakfast, on this day you will walk around to see appealing historical and holy fascinations in Kathmandu. Most of the places you visit on this day are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are speckled with several small and big temples carved with beautiful arts. Also, you will visit the holy Hindu temple Pashupati Nath, Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple’, and one of the large Stupas in the world-Boudhanath. Likewise, on this day you will also prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding (2,652m) approximately 4 hours trek
On this day, to begin our trek, we will move to the airport and take up early morning flight to reach Lukla (2,800m). Lukla is one of the most eye-catching air ways in the world as it has spectacular landing on a hillside bordered by elevated peaks. As soon as we reach Lukla, we will start our trek passing the village to get to Phakding. The track is trouble-free and after coming crosswise through the tiny rural community of Ghat(2550m) we have a short walk to Phakding. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Approximately 6 hrs
From Phakding we will walk through a stunning pine woods along the Dudh Koshi River. The paths are also combined with superb forest of giant firs, rhododendron, and magnolia trees. On this day you will get to witness breathtaking scene of the Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Walking all the way through Benkar, Manjo, we reach at the entrance point to Sagarmatha National Park. Then, passing village of Jorsale, we will reach Namche Bazaar, major trading centre of this region. As we ascend up to Namche Bazaar, splendid view of Kwangde Peak, Kangaru peak, Kusum peak, Mt. Everest, Tawache, Lhotse, and many other marvelous mountains welcome us. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
We have a day rest in Namche Bazaar today for to get accustomed with the height. Namche is considered as well off village situated in a large protected vacant set. On top of the village, the national park headquarters is located from where you can see the sunrise and sunset views. The wonderful scene includes terrific scenery of the Khumbu peaks including Mt Everest. You can enjoy resting or just walking around or do some shopping. Or, you may walk around Khumjung which is surrounded by the snow-white peaks of Kongde and Thamserku We also visit Hillary School situated at the same location. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 06 Namche Bazaar to Phorse Village (3810 m) Around 6 hrs
We will depart from Namche after breakfast and pass on witnessing superb view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, etc. Our lane rises and falls steadily. If you are fortunate you may spot wild lives like musk deer, pheasant, or a herd of Himalayan Thar. after that, we will get to Sansa, the main trail intersection to Everest Base Camp and Gokyo valley. We will ascend up through Mongla pass located at an altitude of 3975 m where we will be captivated by Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Thamserku, and Mt. Khumbila. Then we will walk down to Dudhkosi Khola (3250 m), and all over again trek up all the way through the rhododendron forest, to reach Phorse lying at the foot of Tawoche and Cholaste. Overnight at Phorse Village.

Day 07: Phorse Village to Machhermo(4,470 m) Around 6 hrs
We will traverse Dudh Koshi river, and also pas through forests, a number of waterfalls to reach Dole. After that we will ascend steadily up from side to side with a picturesque edge on top of Dole and the path climbs through Lhabarma. We will be rewarded by the vistas of Cho Oyu, Thamserku and Kantega, and on the way and then the trail takes us all the way through many summer settlements. Also, we will walk along the hill side above noisy Dudkoshi river and pass some small settlements and sandy spurs, we will reach Machhermo where we can see the beautiful river flowing down from the Phari Lapche and Kyajo Ri mountains. Overnight in Machhermo.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo (4750m)
Today, we will move head to see the stunning lakes at Gokyo, the melted-pouring down the west part of the Ngozumpa Glacier. After traversing a bridge, the trail levels out as we get to observe the first lake Longpongo set at 4690m. Then after, the second lake, Taboche Tsho completely captivates us with its gleaming turquoise blue water dazzling in the sun. Sequentially, third lake also appears. Day 09: Rest day to Ascent of Gokyo Ri (5483m)
We will have another rest day. You can simply rest or ascent Gokyo Ri lying at an elevation of 5483m to witness enchanting sunrise views as well as scenic views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Amadablam, and many more gigantic ranges of Himalayas. Overnight at lodge in Gokyo.

Day 10: Gokyo to Thangnak (4690m)
After having a day rest to get habituate yourself to high elevation, we leave Gokyo to pass through the Ngozumpa Glacier. We shift down to the second lake of Gokyo and walk further down to the glacier. The way traverses the glacier where you can notice cairns and is moderately well defined. We will trek for around 2 hours today. Overnight at Tahngnak.

Day 11: Thangnak to Chola Pass ( 5350m) to Jhongla (4780m)
This is the most significant day of our trek. From Thangnak, we start walking early in the morning because we need to walk for approximately 7 to 8 hours today. The walk is difficult but is really rewarding. We will traverse Cho La Pass (5350m) and walk a long way downward to arrive at Jhongla. Day 12: Jhongla to Gorak Shep (5184m)
We will move ahead from Jhongla on this day and walk to Kala Patthar, to witness break of the dawn over the high Himalayas. You need to be prepared to resist cold temperature (-10 to -14 C). For your efforts you will be rewarded by the awesome and unforgettable views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Changtse tower to the east. We will move back in the afternoon and arrive at Gorakshep. We pass from side to side with the sign post. En-route, we will see Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Khumbutse, etc. After a small climb we will reach Thangma Riju from where we witness 360 degree panorama of snow-white mountains. Overnight at Gorakshep.

Day 13: Gorak Shep (5,170 m) – Everest Base Camp (5,364m) – Gorak Shep Approximately 9 hrs
We will walk away from Gorakshep where we are surrounded by gigantic peaks not missing the superb view of Mt. Everest, highest mountain on the earth. We will move ahead to reach Everest base Camp which gives you the feeling of victory of summating as well as reaching at the foot of the highest peak in the world is just unforgettable. Then, you will return to Gorakshep. Overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 14: Gorak Shep to Pangboche (3985m)
Today, our path from Gorak Shep moves down and continues by Lobuche to Duglha and then reaches at Pheriche. After lunch we will traverse the Khumbu River on a wooden suspension bridge and go behind the Imja River to reach Pangboche. All in all, we will trek for 5 hours today. Overnight at Pangboche.

Day 15: Pangboche to Namche (3450m)
As we begin to walk today we will traverse Khumbu River. We will pass all the way through the villages of Orsho, Tsuro Wog, and Shomare and arrive at Pangboche located at the foot of Ama Dablam. After traversing Imja Khola we will pass along the Debouche village to reach Tengboche. From Tengboche, we will have to walk on the steep trail of around 500m. Then, we will move through rhododendron bushes as well as fir trees. Walking further, we will pass the settlements like Tashinga and Sansa before reaching Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 16: Namche to Lukla around 5 hrs
We will walk on flat trail today and also pass some descends and short ascents as well. We can get pleasure from combo of unwrapped plains, pine and rhododendron forests. You will also get to witness the distant backdrop of Kwangde peak. The final climb lasts for approximately 45 minutes from Chheplung and helps us to reach Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 17: Lukla – Kathmandu (Fly)
Today, we will fly back to Kathmandu after our memorable journey. Upon reaching hotel in Kathmandu, we can relax. Or, you can go around some nearby shops in Thamel to buy typical Nepalese commodities. In the evening, you will enjoy farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 18: Departure
On this day, our representative will drive you to the airport. Hope to see you again.
